Love this first installment. The tenderness between C/L is definitely there as well as Lucrezia's sadness over the separation with her baby. Can't wait for the next chapters.

he no longer held any interest in Ursula. She was beautiful, to be sure, but he had felt no stirring of emotion when she had talked to him. Perhaps he could attribute his lack of feelings to Lucrezia’s return.

That the part I liked a lot. It wasn't directed against Ursula but Cesare finally realised that she was merely a substitute for Lucrezia.

I also really liked how adamant Lucrezia is and how she can wrap Cesare around her little finger even when she is at her weakest.

Lovely job! Can't wait for the next part!
