i had the same complaints as you -- i agree, you cannot jack up an adaptation so i was not happy with the 3rd movie. however this one is vastly better, so i don't think you'll be as disappointed.

i saw it friday night with my boyfriend. his buddies got tickets in advance for us. they are all film makers/students (one guy works at Pixar, another is doing independent films, one worked at ILM, etc) so they rip movies to pieces at the end and interestingly enough, a few had never read the books but enjoyed the 3rd movie the best. i have read all books and was pissed over the 3rd movie.

Yeah, most of the people I hear saying they liked the 3rd movie were those who hadn't read the books. I've also only heard people say this movie is much better than the last. So I don't know. I was considering giving it a chance if I could see it for free but the movie theater is screwing my sister [and me] out of the free movies. So that's a no go. I still refuse to pay. Oh well, we'll see what happens though!

I'm preoccupied with work shit and I'm also on the phone right now so this is going to be two sentences long.

I hope that the first part of your post wasn't about anything I said in my GoF post. ... And I don't know why I think it would be but still. There's that's like four sentences right now.

Well...I don't know. It was if you meant it that way. But really, at this point, I've had so many people say it to me that I've been reading into the posts on GoF on my friends list, since there seems to be extra emphasis on "It IS different than the book but it's still good!" So whether or not I think so is irrelevant at this point. But that's my problem not yours. This rant was just in general and it just happens that HP is what it is about. I could write it about a lot of the books I've read that have been turned into movies.

SQUEEEEE RENT!!!!!! *points to new post*
