ok so some people don't think it's a good idea for me to go to Florida with Alan this summer. the way I look at it is: this doesn't necessarily mean we're getting really serious too quick, its just a chance that I don't want to pass up. i was just joking with you tonight about that whole thing... i hope you didnt get offended :-/

as if i have any room to talk, i was packed up and ready to move to another state with mike after we were dating for less time than you and alan will have been dating by the time you go to florida with him. i say go and have fun. just remember to be careful :-D

You say you are wondering what your parents will say, so at the same time you should make sure that it is 100% ok with his parents before you decide these plans are so much set in stone. as far as your parents go.... maybe there is some sort of "phi sig retreat" going on that week? lol. or maybe my mom is "out of town" and i want someone to stay with me so im not lonely. :-P

i'm not offended at all. it just made me think wow are things really going too fast?

Alan already talked to them, his parents want me to go because it will be less money that they have to pay because they already bought all the tickets and condo reservation and everything.

lol at phi sig being an excuse. but I think i will tell them this time, because #1.it's not out of the country, #2. i'm not old enough to drink in FL, and #3. there will be no strippers.....AND his family will be there so my parents shouldn't be too worried.

Well Mel Florida sounds awesome with all the sun so I am so not judging you b/c I'd totally jump on a chance to go, lol. When I was thinking of traveling w/ my boyfriend I originally proposed bringing one of my best girl friends along on the trip but then I asked in front of my Mom's best friend, who was a 20-something. I don't know if you can bring a gal pal along, but my Mom was really leniant then. Just in the way you ask I guess.

i think they will be cool with it once they get to know him and possibly his family. ooo somewhere down the line we should have a BBQ or something so our parents can meet.

i say fuck it. take the adventure. if it turns out sucky then come home and deal with it but you surely dont want to feel like youre missing out on anything...go for it. and bring me back something sunny!
