Okay, maybe not...to be honest the first word that had actually been 'Weird' then he though she also looked cute, with the messy hair and her rosy cheeks.
"Ah...thank you." Once inside, he introduced himself with a stretched hand. "A pleasure to meet you, my name is Kuroba Kaito." He grinned, charmingly. And of course, like he always did with the ladies, a red rose puffed from his outstretched hand surprising the woman in front of him. "Thank you for taking me in after such a short notice. I hope I'm not disturbing you or anything..."

She blushed even more at the sight of the rose he was offering her. She took it with a smile and... It was the end of her cuteness. She shook his still outstretched hand in very unfeminine manner. The grasp of her hand was strong (for a girl) and certain ( ... )

Huh...interesting.
He welcomed her and then followed the girl to the room. The room wasn't big per se, but it was comfortable enough for one person to stay there and Kaito wasn't a man who needed luxury to be comfortable.
He walked inside the room and checked the balcony. He didn't know why the idea of sharing the balcony with the girl was funny...or more like interesting...
He stayed a few more seconds contemplating the place. The bulding was located far fron the center of town, which was good because he was programming to make his heists on that area; and while KID needed to be near the center of town, Kaito was better very far from there. Moreover, the neighbourhood looked really paceful and nice.
He finally made up his mind.
"I like it, very much. I'll take it, and if you don't mind I would like to move in today." He smiled.

With a smile Aoko took a glass Kaito offered her. Like a perfect gentleman her roommate opened the door for her which made her laugh. Sometimes living with the scientists let Aoko forget that she was a woman and that there is something called 'Chivalry'. And now she imagined herself trying to convince one of her colleagues-who-was-solving-another-multidimensional-integral-in-his-head to do such a nice gesture. She just couldn't help, she had to laugh ( ... )

He laughed at her enthusiasm; this girl really loved her job. He on the other hand…
His train of though was suddenly interrupted when Aoko hugged his arm, practically squishing it against her chest. Only his experience with poker face could stop what he was really feeling from showing in his eyes. With his face completely hardened and his pose a bit more straight, the thief diverted his gaze from the lovely (and tempting) girl’s face and directed it towards the starry night.
“I would have never imagined you to be so bold Aoko.” He teased her, chuckling. “Are you planning to do something to me?”
’Damn it, why does her dress have to be so thin? I can practically feel everything…’

Kaito looks at Aoko's blushing face and tries not chuckle even more at her innocent answer.
'Looks like I am...Okay, focus you stupid thief.'
Kaito tried laughing to lighten up the sudden tense atmosphere and gave Aoko a friendly pat on the shoulder.
"I was joking. I would like to take a closer look at the stars." He smiled sweetly at her. "But are you sure there is no problem with us skipping the party? You friends may get worried." He added the last part while pointing inside the ballroom were a curious Keiko, who was trying to hide behind the curtain and failing miserably, was watching them with a huge evil smile plastered all over her face.

Drinking a cup of nice, sweet sencha tea, Aoko once again read the message Keiko had just sent her. Seriously, calling Kaito Prince Charming... what was she thinking?
She was in the kitchen, shifting on the chair, to find the most comfortable position to think. She liked to spend her time in the kitchen. The furnitures reminded her home. This was very warm place, so full of things that Aoko had brought from home, that every place she laid her eye on, awaken another memory. Usually she loved to enjoy all these snapshots of her family that these mementos were bringing, not tonight though. She was too deep into her present concerns to think about the memories, but even then, being in this place, made Aoko felt her mom's reassuring presence just next to her. For a moment she was even sure, that she felt a strange weight on her arm, as if her mom would put a hand there, trying to calm her down.
“Now, what is the problem?” she asked herself aloud.
'I kissed him, isn't it obvious?' she answered ( ... )

With arms stretching at odd angles, he made his way towards the bathroom not noticing the girl sitting at the table. Or maybe not wanting to notice her yet in excuse to quickly put his thoughts in order if she suddenly asked him about their kiss from last night.
Should he pretend like nothing happened? 'It was just a little kiss you silly girl!'
Should he tell her what he was trully feeling? 'Actually Aoko, I think I'm starting to like you more than just as a friend.'
Or should he tell her the reason why she wouldn't want to be with him? 'Aoko, I'm not who you think I am...'
Either way, nothing he choose to do was going to end up well for both of them. And the third option was still to risky to tell.
He was in a dead end. And it was entirely up to her now.

'She wants to talk about something? Could it be...?' He could feel a slight shiver running down his back. 'But, what if it's not what I'm expecting? Or what if it is? Then what should I...do?'
Kaito spited the remaining toothpaste, rinsed out his mouth and cleaned the rest with the hand towel.
"W-What is it about?" He asked, also loud enough so she could hear him with the door still closed. It felt easier to talk if he wasn't staring directly at her.
