One of our clients was killed last night. I am absolutely devastated. You know how you can go through the day, and each person you meet is another person, like no one has a life, or everyone is a story, or the people you hear about on tv don't have a face? I have spent the morning sorting through tons and tons of baby clothes my aunt donated to the women in our program and to CYS. It makes me sad a little cause I remember dressing them in these things when I was their nanny and taking them places and they are sooooo big now. Went to board dinner. Decided officially that I can never be a suit. When the board VP was announced, one coworker kindly pointed out to the table that "she's gay." Well thanks.
