Hannah, I think you speak the truth.

But to be honest, I don't think I fall under a stereotype.

Because I don't believe in them.

"Just because someone has sex before marriage doesnt mean they're dirty or immoral. Abstinence is the fear of:
1)other people.
2)intamacy with other people.
3)getting hurt"

i know what you mean about having sex before marriage but just because someone plans on being abstinent doesn't mean they're afraid of anything. sometimes people actually choose the path they do for personal reasons.

i just meant that, for me abstinence is that...I used to be abstinent, but i traded that in and had sex with my boyfriend of 6 months at the time. I dont regret it. I didnt mean for that to sound the way it did. I meant that's what it is for me.

hey! thats me! kingfullback44 February 10 2005, 19:28:29 UTC
hey!, that was me! ya it was great(sorry if im not being serious enough) i dont regret it either. i think abstinence is a great thing and all, but if you trust the one that you love and you have control over the situation, i think you should do what feels natural. who knows i could just be saying this cuz i've already had sex, but that just goes to show that everyone is going to have a different opinion on this. and as for the stereotype deal, ya they're a drag. i agree with you that everyone is so immersed with being different that they've stopped even being themselves. now i dont mean EVERYONE but just a good amount of people. but at the same time, i think everyone just goes through some kind of stage of trying to be "different" cuz i mean we all do and its just part of finding who we really are. i guess for those of us who already have a pretty good idea of that it just gets annoying to see others going through it.
