Learning to walk again, I believe I've waited long enough, Where do I begin?

Long, long, long time no speak.

To cut a lengthy and rather tedious story short, I'll just say that the past few months have been rather rocky on many levels, but I'm learning to deal with the fact that my life is less than shiny. At least I'm alive and kicking, I can deal with everything else! (Mostly by superb diversionary tactics)

I have now ( Read more... )

Glad to hear you are okay. That first year is a tough one...so much to adjust to.

YAY for BSG - but Buffy...still Buffy is my fav of all time. So much good in that show. But, to each their own :)

Hope you enjoy a nice summer break :)

thankyou =] it's been strange, but I think next year will be better! I'll be a fresher again, but I should be able to handle it =]

BSG, LOVE IT, and I do still really like Buffy, I think I just watched too much in too short a space of time! I think I overdosed on it a little =P and I was watching it just after I blitzed BSG S4, so I was still in sci-fi mode when I switched to vampires. Hopefully I'll get the groove back in the summer though!

Yes, I hope next year goes even better for you :)

LOVED BSG - although I have to admit on the first viewing I was really unhappy with the final few episodes. As for Buffy, even in retrospect there were elements of season 6 there were really not up to par - and some from season 4 as well - altho season 4 had some really great stand alone episodes (The Thanksgiving one comes to mind LOl) - and yeah I can see going from BSG to Buffy would be a bit of a shock LOL.

The only thing I didn't like so much about the ending of BSG was that Sam didn't survive and Adama and Roslyn hoooking up. There wee so many scenes when Lee was sitting right next to them when they were making eyes at each other, I felt so sorry for him!!

I think my issue with Buffy is JUST series 6 atm, as at least half the series has been focusses purely on who's sleeping with who and there doesn't seem to be much in the way of substantial plot! I'm quite a fan of the formulaic 'one problem per episode with some back story running through and hints to a BIG BAD at the end of the series' and 6 doesn't quite seem to have the balance right =[

It's absolutely mental! I can't quite believe it's almost finished. Majorly scary.

I'm starting a degree in Architecture in September (I was doing a foundation art degree this year) =] Cannot wait for the summer though - I'll be absolutely mental!

Luckily I don't have an exam for my foundation, just an externally examined final project *sigh of relief* but I'm certain the exams will kick in again next year.

Russian? Wow, veeery impressive!! I had no head for languages at all, it always made me sad as I would've loved to actually speak another one!

(everyone says that, but I'm not so certain, mainly because of the course offered! and every time people at home say 'oh well done, that's a very impressive place to get' I can't help but feel like they're just mocking/patronising me =S Hopefully it'll be fine once I get there though! It's not like I had much option about where to go either, so that doesn't help so much)

awww, I wish I could just regress back and redo my A-levels... I think if I could go back and redo sixth form, I'd be in a substantially better place right now!!

never mind, I shall soldier on and pretend that I'm not growing up at all ;)

I'd have to regress to the womb... but glad you've got good times to remember (god, I sound whiney, sorry) and yeah, pretending I'm not middle aged and grown up sounds like a great idea

I have the majority of my childhood erased or stuffed in a box now covered in cobwebs. I remember things from aboooooout 13 onwards? They stil aren't aMAZing, but they're good enough to remember mostly =]

i just regret taking the subjects I took and not revising enough in my exams =[ I'm a cautionary tale for any child
