Yay! This was such a treat to come home to. I was pretty stoked when I saw how long the story ended up being.

I was kind of surprised that Hikaru ended up with Touya and not Shigemi. I came to like the brat too! I was hopping the three of them would end up in a threesome. Somehow I don't think the go world would approve though. I like that Hikaru had to make a choice with no right answer--relationships are messy like that. The breakup scene with Shigemi was heartwrenching. I thought he got over it a bit quickly after that though? But he is the resilient type. And Touya, as you've written him, is not. He is the pudgy type though. (So cute)

*cough* If you care to do some document editing, I noticed some minor typos/spelling errors that I've listed below. Sorry, I am anal like that!

Part 1
Wasn't he get too used to being with Shigemi?
omai --> omiai

Part 2
from the take-out containers to a real bowls
Sappro --> Sapporo
so he didn't even notice that they were a full compliment at first. -->complement

*blushes!* glad to treat you. ^_~ the fic just kept going and going... it's somewhat funny that i thought i couild finish it for the bg deadline, lulz. meep.

ahah, yeah, that brat sure turned out likable. ^_^;;; i kinda wanna write something for him and his boyfriend... i don't know if touya's pride would have allowed a threesome, but i guess i was just heading for fictive torture anyway. ^_~ shigemi got over the break-up? well. once he was forced to accept it, he wasn't going to show hikaru or anyone else how much he was still hurting... but even four years later, he still has feelings for his teacher. as far as touya's resilience... well, he had a lot of regrets in this story. and, coming out of the shower to your wife's dead body is no fun at all. =X *tickles his pudge* it's just a LITTLE pudge! ^_~

ooh, thanks, flonne!! i appreciate the help!! ^___^ *scurries to fix*

thank you again for your kind comments!!

I really like your fic, but really 32 isn't old at all, Ogata was older in the series and he wasen't old at all like Touya father and Morita who were like 50 something, 32 is really young, in fact it consider that you are actually a youngster between 15 to 35 years old and then you are an actual adult even if you are a citizen and can drink and drive before that. By Europe and several countries standars ( ... )

thank you for your kind comments!!

32 isn't old, i know... but of course, hikaru's boyfriend is 12some years younger than him, so it can sure feel old. plus, shigemi is really just teasing him with all that.

yup, that's really it... he loved shigemi, but he'd never really moved past his relationship with akira. and yeah, akira was being selfish.... but he was in a lot of pain, so he was selfishly trying to grab onto the person he knew he needed. i'm glad that you enjoyed the fic and it worked for you! ^_^

*pets waya!* ^_~

thankyou!!!

Your icon = love. Every time I rewatch TOS, I'm newly amazed by the rip-ability of Kirk's uniform shirts. EVERY DAMN EPISODE.

I know right!

I love star trek and Kirk/Spock and Bones as a friend.

Well as anime and manga i kind of grow up as a /trekky-anime fan all at the same time as a kid ;)

But star trek always had pull my heart more than starwars and anime really have no competition, my heart is big enough :)

Do you watch some comms in lj of star trek? If not i know several, even if they are not Kirk/Spock ;)

THIS. It never even occurred to me that where you left off in blind-go might not be the true ending; it seemed like an ideal, if not entirely resolved, stopping point. I'm so, so, so, so glad that it continued on, though... This fic, both the portion posted for blind-go and the fic in entirety, is just amazing. I'm not predisposed to like OCs, and it requires a great deal of mental effort on my part to imagine Hikaru and Akira as anything other than a couple regardless of circumstances, but I was still yelling at Hikaru to not break up with Shigemi that's just not cool what are you thinking. This fic is beautiful and emotional and purely, perfectly, a work of art.

*blushes like mad* well, i neglected to give you any hint that the fic was unfinished, so there was no reason for you to know. ^_^;;;; i doubted myself afterward, but it did feel like i'd reached... say, the end of a section. that was the first act, so to speak. ^_^;;

i'm with you with OCs, but sometimes, they just muscle in. *pets poor Shigemi* yeah, staying with Shigemi probably would have been the smart thing to do, and even Hikaru knew that, but....

i'm glad you enjoyed the rest, and thank you so much for your so-kind comments!! ^__^

It took me forever to get around to reading this fic, but gaaaaah, the ups and downs you put my heart through! This was amazing, and I am so impressed by how you not only kept up the emotional complexity, but also made each character sympathetic yet flawed in their own way. My heart broke for Touya, dealing with the guilt around his wife's death on top of insecurity about Hikaru. And ahhh, Shigemi really won my heart over during the course of the fic, though I did think it was better for Hikaru to leave him because Hikaru seemed unable to get over Touya. I'm so glad that you showed Shigemi being happy in a new long-term relationship at the end.

This was really a masterpiece, and I'm so glad that you finished the fic.

awww, you're killin' me with kindness, Tari! *blushes madly* i remember thinking when you commented to the part posted to blind-go... well, there's a lot more trauma to come... ^_^;;; i'm glad that you enjoyed the emotional rollercoaster and complexity so much, and that you liked all the players, especially Shigemi. yeah, Hikaru had to be true to his feelings after all... he just also had to get over feeling trapped by his feelings. ^_^;; i wanna write something for Shigemi and his boyfriend, but we'll see...

thank you so much!! i really am blushing like crazy, even in rereading your kind comments!! ^_^

awwww, thank you so much for your kind, detailed comments!!! #^_^# this is like the absolute best kind of thing to get!! (and sorry for taking so long to respond...!)

i'm really glad you found the fic, and enjoyed it!! i'm really flattered. thankyou!!!

heh, yeah, OCs can be a mixed bag, so anytime i end up using one, i'm really grateful when people give 'em a chance. but yeahhhhh this one was tough as a hikaru/akira story, because they really go through hell and back and then swing back for one more go-through. even now, looking the story over again, i wonder if maybe hikaru made the wrong choice. ^_^;;; but, like you say, it's just about doing what you can in a sticky situation, and making the best of it, for all of them.

i'm very happy to have put you through the wringer!! (erp, maybe i should apologize?? but it's a good wringer kinda thing, i hope???)

thank YOU for your comments!! they totally made my day!! ♥♥
