Yeah, cutting for those of you who don't care about bras in a girly way (I.E., you don't wear them or have no reason to.)
Holy wow. I'm sure everyone who's on Tumblr has already seen this post (it has 16,000 notes, fcol) but for those of you, who, like me, are not on there all that often, here:
http://sashayed.tumblr.com/post/48748262296/do-it-now-fairly-quick-guide-to-proper-bra-fit-and Go read that first. I followed the directions. Then moseyed over to HerRoom and the
Know Your Breasts Bra Finder. Which covers things like sloping shoulders, what angle your breasts point at, how far separated they are, etc.
RESULTS FROM SCIENTIFIC TESTING ON THE BUTTERFLY:
I thought I was a 40C, in Cacique from Lane Bryant. About, oh, $30-$40.
Wal-Mart $10 bra: 38DD: FITS BETTER. Gore does not lie flat, but I can move around without fear of breasts making a break for it out of the cups if I raise an arm.
Dillards, $60 bra: 36DDD: FITS EVEN MORE BETTER! I honestly thought a 36 would dig in, even knowing the measurement around my chest was about 34.5. ALL MY OTHER BRAS DID. HMM. MAYBE BECAUSE THE CUP USED TO BE TOO SMALL?
'spensive online bra from HerRoom, $78: 36G (36DDDD): Does not fit on top. Band fits perfectly and the gore is even lying flat, like it never has. Returning bras for one size down and maybe some some different styles. We shall see!
So yes. You are probably wearing the wrong one, unless you already knew all this. And thanks to
neonhummingbird for linking this on Pinterest in the first place!
