So I just wathced the season premiere. I have barely watched this series since the first season. BUt now I'm so hooked on finding out what fucked up shit they do to each other. You all know that the producers will mold shit so they start arguing cause otherwise it wouldnt be as much fun. It;s like watching me and my friends in college. I mean when ( Read more... )

So...in order to be a "real woman" one must be either very sexual or...a stripper? o_O

I think I understand what he was trying to say, but maybe he just worded it wrong.

I think he meant that a real woman isn't ashamed to assert her sexuality and embraces her womanhood instead of acting all coy and trying to maintain a dumb act when it comes to sex just because she thinks that is the way society wants her to act.

Yeah, I can see that...I guess the way he worded it put me off a bit.

Sorry, was running train of thought there. Didn't mean to upset/annoy anyone.

I don't really think that Cameran from San Diego was a "dumb slut", I just think she was a little more naive than other women and wasn't very experienced when it came to sex and dealing with men. I mean, she was only 19 and Brad was 23 and this was probably the first time she had lived in such close quarters with men. I think that probably after her stint with the Real World, she probably has a whole new outlook on not only sex, but life too.

Trust me, I'm 23 now and my outlook and experience with sex has made a TOTAL change in the past 4 years. When I was 19, I acted all giggly and "OMG" too.

You're correct. She wasn't really a slut per se, she was dumb though. I agree wiht you on the age factor as well. There is a difference between naiviety and lakc of knwoledge. The blond guy on the Philly one admitted he doesn;t knwo much about gays but knows it and seems to be trying to learn. Cameran just semeed clueless to me, pretty much all the time. Very selfcentered too. She never seemd to be trying to be aware of her surroundings so as to try and figur eout what is going on. I mean when a bunch of 30ish guiys invite you to take a limo to some manison for a party she thinks it going to be like the prom. I;m anal though. I always anlayze a sitch ebfore I pout msyelf in it. Have to knbow the gorund rules before you play the game.

the sad thing is... that these aren't even "real" people... much less being video taped in a "real" world... i dont know about you, but i've never coincidentally wound up with 10 roommates in an expensive house with elaborate decorations and just was "handed" a job, and partied every night with nothing to worry about. thats not the "real world"
besides in san diego they could have choosen someone a little less weird to represent "different" people instead of punk-rawk emotionally unstable frankie. it made different people seem like they were all like that. lol.
i hate reality tv...
and i hate reality.

Your very right about that. The first season people in NY seemed pretty normal and they didn;t get handed jobs. They got alittle help I think but not the way it is now. Plus back then it was jsut a loft now its all hooked up and shit. They also weren't all model caliber looks. I do still think you get the weird dynamics of a bunch of college freshman b/c that first year you feel like you can party evry night and not have it matter.

yeah... but i dunno. its like if a rich person adopted 10 college freshman gave them jobs at their workplace and let them go wild.... how often does that happen? i liked the real world when it was more real, like when it was in new orleans? or new york, or some of the earlier episodes. now there isn't one attractive person on there. what is real about that?
