Got the kids report cards yesterday. They were not great. Didn't expect Hannah's to be since she hasn't exactly been doing her homework but was surprised that Peter's wasn't great. Spoke to his teacher today. Mainly she said that he needs to slow down and not rush through assignments. Oh, and the he needs to be neater and more organized. Ha! ( Read more... )

I know that teachers and parents are supposed to encourage kids to work hard ( and I do that). But in my experiences with my kids and their teachers and IEP meetings....and all, the school system pushes the kids too hard sometimes. In turn, they give up or stop giving their all. At least I think that's what happens with my kids ( ... )

i think part of it is that Hannah is not being challenged. We'll see. Jeff called school today and is awaiting a call back from the principal.

The trip...who knows, we will just have to wait and see about that too.

I swear it was easier when they were small. Not newborns maybe, but small and cute and tantrummy!

I hope that the meeting go well. If only we could make our babies babies again and just snuggle with them in our arms.

You have no idea how often I think that hon. I miss you so much. The days of living across campus were so short and so special. Even though there are miles between us, I know that you have my back and I have yours. We've been through too much together (and separately) to not have a wicked connection. LY. MI. ♥

I swear I could have written that about same statement about my Bailey. She has always had a hard time with teachers :( We are hoping a new school next year could help. I feel like she's been labeled at the one she's been at for the last 4 years. Hugs
