I saw the orthopedist on Wednesday.  Not great news.  I have end stage degenerative disc disease in the disc below my spinal fusion as well as degenerative disc disease in at least one other disc.  He said that without question the surgery was the right thing to do and that given the degree of my curvature he would have made the same decision.

Physical therapy is pretty amazing, it cured Jessica's neck problem. Of course your issue is much more serious. I did it a few times for my feet to learn stretches and such.
Definitely do the PT. It can't hurt.

I have taken Aleve, and it doesn't work as well as Advil liquigels for me, BUT I didn't use it 2X a day....maybe I should try that.
I hope between the PT and Aleve that you find some pain relief.
My back isn't the worst part of me (it flares up), but I am never without pain and I know what that is like. My feet are the worst.

I hope that the PT does work. After I get off the Ref Desk at 2 I am going to make some calls. The doctor recommended Aleve so that's what I am going to stick with for now.
