[After all those announcements, Metis seems to be much more motivated to complete her task.
She'll be digging, as per orders, a ditch that is 40 meters wide, and 2 meters long, starting from Kramden Road. And yes, she is determined.

All the dirt will be thrown to your yards neighbours, it has to go somewhere, right?]

*Touma sees Metis, gets a good idea of what she's up to, and joins her. Without saying much of anything he picks up a shovel with his right arm and attempts to dig with her.

You'll notice that he's not using his left arm at all. Probably because it's no longer there. All that's left is a nub of flesh where his arm should be.*

[Metis takes her time to notice Touma joined her. And when she does, she is about to shout how she doesn't need your help, but the sight of the missing arm stops her on her tracks.]

...Touma. ...D-did they do this...?

[Yes, she is shocked and worried. Yes, worried. But so confused she isn't sure what to say.]

Yeah. Don't worry about it.

*He shrugs it off and tries to dig. But Touma's attempts to help her, while whole hearted, aren't very successful. He's able to get the shovel in using his arm and foot but lifting the shove up is proving to be a challenge. He's got no control over where the dirt is going so a lot of it is just spilling right back into the hole.*

Don't worry about it!? I-I can't believe you!

[Touma was an idiot, that was what Metis had thought for some time. But now, he had reached a new level of foolishness.]

....Don't help me.
