She never did get the chance to finish peeling the potatoes for their dinner party, because every time she would stand at the counter he would be behind her, hands wondering across her stomach.

The sweetest sounds to Reno's ears were when Tifa would be lying beneath him, breathing out his name.

When her entire body would rake with unshed tears he would take her into his arms and kiss away the tears wishing he could chase away her demons and take away her scars.

When I was little father used to tell me that there was no heaven, no divine place for those who were good, so I decided there was no point in acting good, no point in trying to be the best; but I knew that was a lie when I found Tifa, because being with her was pure heaven in my eyes.

The first time Reno kissed Tifa it was to make her shut up; they had been fighting for hours and he wanted her to keep quiet, but afterwards he kissed her every time he got the chance.

I never liked to show him my weakness because I thought he would hate me for it; he didn't hate me for it when it would shine through though, only took me into his arms and loved me all the more.

She never looked more beautiful to him than when she was lying naked next to him at night, the moon playing shadows across her skin; her scar stood out starkly against the paleness of her beauty, a dark reminder of the pain she had felt, and a wound that he wanted her to forget.

I never believed in forever, thought it was a fairy tale because nothing could last forever; I found out I was wrong, love was the only thing that could last forever and I hoped our love would.

The first time Tifa knew she had feelings for Reno was after Marlene had been hurt badly in an accident; he sat there, holding her as she cried, waiting for Barret to come bursting through the door looking for his daughter; his arms around her were the only things that anchored her down.

His father told him when he was a child that his obsession with lightning was unnatural; he smiled to himself wondering what his father would think of him pressing Tifa up against a metal fence during a thunderstorm, his mouth warm on her skin.

When he died Cloud tried to comfort me, told me death was not the end of things, he was sure of it; I couldn't help but think that death ruined everything and death took him away from me.

The most stirring thing about Tifa was the way she would whisper his name at night while she slept; it was all he could do not to take her into his arms and make love to her until the morning light, but she looked so beautiful when he slept, and he couldn't disturb her peace.

I never thought I was fated for happiness, I had done too many horrible things; then she came into my life like an angel, and now I know I'm not fated for sadness.

Tifa always found it funny how jealous Reno would get when she was around Cloud; he would fold his arms across his chest and pout like a little child, until she reminded him that she went home with him at night.

He looked the most handsome when he would smile; sitting their with our son in his lap, his little hand's pulling at his father's hair, Reno smiled his brightest.

Reno would stand in the doorway watching her sing their child to sleep; while he was away from her he would play the melody over and over in his head, imagining her voice saying the words.

Tifa loved picnics; she would pack up a lunch and bring the children out to play with them, and he would watch her as she turned her face up into the sun, smiling at the sound of their laughter.

I never wanted to love someone with all my heart, least of all you, but you made this world a beautiful place for me again; now that you're gone Reno the world is dark for me, their is no compassion, no love, no comforting arms or sweet words, no warm embraces or passionate kisses and the air is hard to breathe, because without you Reno, this world is hell.
