The ley lines are no longer twisted, and the trees are painted in spectacular fall colors of scarlet, gold, and amber. After all the recent turmoil, the peace in the wood seems almost surreal.

She slips outside to investigate. It doesn't take her long to spot him. She stands still for several moments, just watching, then speaks. "Hey, stranger. Long time no see."
