Phone [503 Ricardo Street // Backdated to Saturday Morning]
...Eva Ushiromiya. That was the name of the woman this town selected as my 'target'. But I couldn't do that. I'm a ranger. We never kill without good reason. She was just a normal person like you or me. Sure, I may not have known her past, but... I got this letter this morning informing

[She shrills at him, while standing behind a bush.]
You're going to get -killed- Mou... you can't be a hero right now.

Don't you think you're underestimating me just a little? If I hadn't of gotten this suit back, maybe I'd be less likely to do this but... I can't just sit back. People are in trouble out there. It's my job to protect them.

Sometimes that just means surviving. [She huffs]

[Yeah, he's pretty damn determined.]

So, we are monsters if we are willing to kill, then? How deeply do your morals run, as a human? ... I suppose I'll find out soon enough, anyway. Among other things...

Willing to kill out of self defense, or protecting someone else is... very different than killing just because you can. Isn't that what separates the monsters from the rest?
[And then he'll pause, possibly realizing what the man was getting at.]
So that means somebody got her, too... Just how long is this chaos going to last? Aren't there any heroes left? I realize I haven't done much to help anyone yet, but that's because...
[Because he wasn't any good on his own. He always had his team to rely on before. Together, they could do anything. But alone...?]

They are certainly different, yes... though murder doesn't define a monster. [A pause, followed by increased amusement.] ... Ah, but you meant a horrible human, not a literal monster, didn't you?
Until the town deems our murders done, I presume. Though perhaps it was for her benefit that someone... 'got to her', as you put it. I understand that those who refuse to engage in the 'senseless brutalization' were undergoing varying hallucinations.
[You can virtually hear the smirk, though, as Bridge trails off.] Because...? You're only one human, yes? And beyond that, one human who fears his own death, I imagine... should others be expecting much from someone like that? [It's hard to tell if he's taunting or just musing idly.] Perhaps it's for the better. One should trust him or herself with one's own health; the mistrust of such opens the way for disease, among other things.

Er, well. Kinda. I mean, a real monster would be something like Godzilla stomping around Tokyo. ...Although technically he wasn't really a monster, either? ...Man, okay. This is getting horribly confusing. I see what you're getting at. I still can't approve of people killing each other off simply because some letter tells them to. That's just not right. No matter what they may offer as a reward.
...Yeah, I didn't really go through any of that. I don't want to even say I'm thankful for them, but... [A deep sigh.] This place really likes to test your moral alignment, doesn't it?
[And those words would only serve to dampen his mood. His voice would really show this more than anything.] I was ready and willing to sacrifice my life to protect people. It's just that I'm so used to working with a team, I can't really do much on my own. Some leader I am.
