So, Dreamwidth. It just some kinna art/writing-only livejournal thing? Is it just an LJ copy or does it actually have a nice kind of picture gallery that isn't a paint to navigate through or make stupid file names?
Probably repeating people (actually I know I am, sorry). It's not artist-focused, but it is artist/fandom friendly. It's not a clone, but rather a code fork (as in, instead of using the code on their own servers, they took the code, said "95% is crap, let's get rid of the crap and clean up the rest, and then throw in all that stuff people want but LJ can't include because it would break the site") and for a lot of people it has a lot of things going for them. For me, it's the fact that I don't need a paid account to syndicate. On the otherhand, as an artist it may be worse for you for a while as they took out scrapbook entirely to try and create a better image-hosting interface (since scrapbook is so useless I tried it once when I first got my LJ and never again). Eventually they'll have image-hosting (hopefully better) but right now there's nothing built in.
But if you want an invite, just tell me where to send it and I'll toss one your way. I'm ninja-inviting (sort of. Not really. Okay, I suck as a ninja. Don't laugh.)
