These boys are breaking my heart along with their own. Jack's lashing out because he's hurt, but in the process he's hurting Ianto even more. Ianto's making (feeble) attempts to reconcile and at least is trying to support Jack professionally, but there's only so many times he'll risk being slapped down before he stops trying altogether.
Your writing is so emotive, I picture every interaction as though it were canon - and it should have been. What will it take for Jack to suck it up and make a genuine apology? Looking forward to the next chapter.

Yes! Oh I'm so glad you noted that Ianto's attempts to fix things are feeble. I was so hoping I didn't MarySue him here and make him the do-gooder-victim. BOTH boys are to blame for this current mess and it's definitely going to take both of them to fix it! And maybe a third party to knock their heads together LOL.
