wow, where can you get vegetarian poutine? I want to tap that.

Mondo Fritz on St-Laurent, next to Schwartz's. I think there's veggie poutine all over the city; you just have to ask. I believe it's veggie at Rapido, and also at some big diner in the Village to. The poutine at Mondo Fritz sadly uses grated cheddar rather than curds, so it somehow feels unauthentic.

I'm pretty serious about this, although it wouldn't be until February (you'll still be around then?). I say work a while in whatever town you end up in, and come February, we'll take over Turkey!

Taking over a country like turkey has its advantages... once they become full-on EU, we'll have nifty new passports and won't have to marry ugly old polish guys.

I just hope i can get some time off in feb... i think it's right in the middle of a teaching block. I need to create some holidays here. Um, national labamba appreciation week?

Well, if I do get the ticket (and I can't promise anything until it's paid for), I think I'd be out there from mid-February 'til Mid June. I'd have to make a stop in Ireland when I'd first arrive, perhaps saunter through France and then the Balkans, so it may be a while before I'd actually get out East east. This is all speculation right now, of course.
