That's It

I'm never voting again. All it has allowed me is permission to bitch for the next four years.
**********************************

To the state of Virginia:

I am so disappointed in you.

To the women who voted for Bush:

I am thoroughly disgusted.

And to George W. Bush:

I vehemently disapprove.

I'm heartsick too, but next time might be different. Never say never.

I'm feeling very extreme right now. I feel like going to the White House and burning my voter card.

I caught a bit of Iron Jawed Angels on HBO last night and it really pumped me up about how our foremothers fought (and continue to fight) for women's rights. I don't want those rights taken awy or reduced in any way.

Me neither. But if you give up, they will be. Clinton/Obama in '08. Or maybe somebody better. After 4 more years of Bush - when he doesn't have to worry about reelection, I think the country will be ready for change.

I wonder how many lives and how much money this country will have lost by then...

You work between election years to make sure your voice is heard.
There are hundreds of political action groups.
A vote is coming up for a law you don't like? write/call your Senator, and Congressman.
Have your friends do so, call attention to the issues and get the word out.
Politics runs for all four years between presidential elections.

Um, what are you talking about? Are you inferring that I called someone a "disgrace", because I didn't. I said that I am disappointed, I feel disgusted, and I disapprove. I don't believe the word "disgrace" appeared anywhere in my post.

Would you care to clarify your response, please? I would like to understand where you're coming from.

wrong "d" word

To the women who voted for Bush:

I am thoroughly disgusted.

Nobody's talked about how disgusted they are with you for anything. There's no need to attack people because they have different opinions than you do.

No, but if they did, they would have every right to. I don't begrudge anyone from feeling however they may feel and expressing it. This is how I feel and I've expressed it.

If it sounded (or, read) like an "attack", I do apologize.
