Thanks! I'm kicking myself now for not taking pictures of the early blooming flower I have, like the crocus and hyacinth. There's always next year, though. Gotta love perennials. :)
Where are you? I'm planning to visit my dad in the hospital today, probably around lunch time.
My friend Rachel just told me that I'm a "nester." :) I didn't really think I was, but I guess I am from the looks of the yard, huh?
Thanks for the compliment. One of my 2006 resolutions was to get the backyard into better shape. I've spent lots of time in the front and side yards, but the back was always neglected. Now that I've made good on my resolution, I have new friends who visit me back there every day!
Well your backyard looks amazing so you should be proud of your resolution, you did such a wonderful job!!!
I can't wait til we can own our own place and then I can permantely grow things in the backyard. On our patio/yard area I just have all my lilies, tomato plants, etc. in containers, would be nice one day to actually be able to place them in the ground, up the fence, etc. So you give me hope of what I get to look forward to:)
You're really good with the container plants. I wish I was-- I have 1 container plant on my front step and it's a geranium (which are impossible to kill). I tried doing stuff in containers in the back, but they all died. :(
Egads, but your garden is beautiful! Color me green with jealousy over those bearded irises!! Everything is looking so lovely and the baby robin is so very sweet! Great job!
You have no idea how much that question made me laugh! Somewhere in the world I've done one of those silly questionaires that asks about my favorite flower... my answer? silk.
No, I don't garden. My in-laws do. My wife doesn't, though she appreciates the results (she likes her flowers to smell like something other than perfume or stale dust...) My 13 year old daughter is the gardener in our house. I wish I had taken pictures of our yard before and after her ministrations. She enjoys it. More power to her. I love being outside, but I don't like working outside, if that makes any sense... I'll do discrete heavy tasks (taking out bushes was my speciality for a while...) But the weeding, tending, pruning, etc...? no thanks.
