You know, it's really true what they say about your life flashing before your eyes when you're about to die. All I can say is that the flash is really bright. The reason I say this is because I pretty much almost sufficated to death during Football practice earlier today. I've been sick the last few days with a nasty cough. Now, during practice

Shortness of breath once in a blue moon aside, I think the only time I've come close to anything of that sort was a time or two when I've been sick and nearly coughed myself to death, and also once when my older brother and I were horsing around and he accidently knocked the wind out of me. It's times like those that you realize you take the whole breathing thing for granted!

Getting the wind knocked out of you is one thing, Asthma is a lot more scary. It's not just having trouble breathing, it's the fact that no matter how hard you try to suck in air, you can't get any.
