compared to ripping up carpet and scraping padding that's been glued down with WAY too much glue. Not to mention the adhesive remover that smelled up the whole house. It gave me a headache. :-( I hope it's not hurting the doggy's nose.

I hope you left the windows open when you did it.

I seem to recall a certain someone, when we first starting seeing each other, leaving the windows closed while painting. He then promptly fell asleep on the couch, leaving me to come over his place to find him VERY difficult to wake from a paint fume induced stupor. He's lucky he's not dead...

So... leave the windows open to make for lots of ventilation!
