One looooong morning

The coffee shop SUCKED today... it is a good day, but it was really bad this morning. I dare any of you to ever call my jobs easy again.... and just because I have been getting it a lot lately, let me explain to you how difficult my job really is.... One, I am up at 4 in the morning to get there... and opening by 5, who the hell can fully function that early? Well, I have too.... so I get to work, and then come the lines..... lines, lines, and lines of cars that dont stop.... all with orders like "Can I have an extra hot extra foamy  sixteen ounce sugar free hazelnut breve with a hint of irish creme mocha, whip cream, and two straws please. I also want a toasted bagel with cream cheese and an eight ounce white chocolate steamer with whip cream on the straw for my daughter....oh yeah, and a dog treat."
This is a normal order.... and you are always serving two customers at once... so while you are executing one order you are taking another... and if you forget anything you look like an idiot, and your tip goes from a dollar to 0.
Today I just was stumbling over a lot of stuff..... and Sammy criticizes EVERYTHING, which is sometimes cool because I like the compliments, but today it seemed like he would not shut up about all of the little goof ups that I was making (like leaving a spoon on the counter, or putting the whip cream away before the milk.... yes he is that much of a perfectionist) And not to mention the freaking weather this morning!!! It is raining, then it isnt, then it is cold, and then it is foggy, and then it isnt..... why does it matter you ask? Oh let me tell you, the freaking shots come out at different consistancies during different climate changes..... just enough of a difference for the shot to look different... and since we serve "The best coffee in Lakewood" those shots go down the drain, and I have to adjust the machine, and hope to God that I didnt over due it.... all of this taking place with three drink orders in my head, and three cars at each window.....and being five in the freaking morning!!!
I know I am just whining, but I have to get it all out..... that breathe of fresh air I guess..... I guess it is all worth it when said and done.... I make really good money, but sometimes it just seems like it is way to hectic.... you see, every drink that I make determines whether or not that customer comes back.... one bad drink and they are gone forever.... and there are so many variables that make a drink taste different... it is crazy pressure.... anyway, I feel better now... but no one else say that I have an easy job, yeah, it is fun sometimes, but it is far from easy..... dont even get me started on my Pierce job! lol...
