The Mystery Shack - Gravity Falls, Saturday, Fandom Time...

The last memory Dipper had of Gravity Falls was in secret basement of the Mystery Shack. Grunkle Stan's portal was just about to open. Gravity was going crazy due to the energy portal and Dipper remember grabbing onto a metal bar to keep from flying to the ceiling Soos and Stan were grappling with each other as Mabel floated above the kill switch

"So, I picked the lock to get into the Shack," Mabel reported, tucking a hairpin away as she made her way up behind Dipper, Waddles waddling along behind, "and it's dust all over."

A beat.

"Like usual. Maybe Soos and Wendy just have the day off?" Wishful thinking. "Stan wouldn't want to pay anybody until peak tourist-trap season if he doesn't have to, right?"

"He was the biggest cheapskate ever known," Dipper said as he kicked a pebble into the pit. "I don't know, Mabel. I thought we could figure out this mystery by coming back but now I'm not so sure."

Mabel frowned a little. She didn't much care for that 'was' business.

"Well, we already know more than we knew before," she reasoned, bending over to pick up Waddles and then pacing back and forth a little. "Up until today, we probably would have sworn that everyone would be right here."

She paused for a moment, and then glanced over her shoulder at the goat.

"Well, at least Gompers is still around."

Dipper gave the goat a bit of a glare. He had issues with that goat.

"Well... technically, Stan could be off doing one of his schemes and dragged Soos along to help," Dipper said half-heartedly as he kicked another pebble into the pit. "And Wendy would take that opportunity to slack off if they did."

Dipper's voice totally cracked when he said Wendy's name. No reason for it. Nope. Not at all. Just puberty folks.

Hopefully Mabel didn't catch that.
