Friday night after work my uni friends got together at Julie's house for her post-wedding gathering.  She and Paul recently bought a house (this was the first time i had seen it)  They've got a slightly shy and very harassed cat - Paul enjoying minor tormenting, i'm waiting for the day when he comes by with sever claw marks on his arms

I think it's natural to feel the need to celebrate someone's life on the day it was taken away from them. I think a person's death has far greater an impact on the people around them at the time than their birthday does. A person may have lots of birthdays, but only one passing.

Eurovision has this power. The power to suck you right in and not move till it's over. Though it's not as good without the guy who used to do the commentary.
