Is the goal not to buy any more yarn, art supplies, realistic? I will try. Induce discipline. Make beauty with everything, because I can!
Ideology: Art equals Access.
Plan: Make this True.

maybe knitpicks only.
and the sheep and wool festival.
but: I have lots of yarn, and there's always recycling. Knitted hats could come from lots of things...

Not buying is an awesome idea, buuuut if that's too hard:

There's a store down the road (in clinton) that only sells local yarn, plus a sheep farm in upper red hook that makes yarn too. Might be a touch expensive, but it's local, so it's not soooo evil.

there's an art co-op at bard...maybe they'll give you supplies?

Oh...and oops paint, at places like Williams (home depot-type store on rt. 9 in rhinebeck) which is house paint that people fucked up on, and it's 1 dollar a pint and 5 dollars a gallon, which rocks.

I collect trash for art projects usually (except that fucking painting class I'm taking for which I had to buy 200 dollars worth of art supplies).

thanks for the suggestions!
I'm going to have to ease myself into this, and I will have to buy some stuff for my mixed media class. Sculpture will probably be easier. I haven't been to the recycling center yet, but it sounds useful.
And the art coop is in the basement of my house, I think. !
And I'm a pack rat. trash=good.
