Bluebirds are back

Yesterday we saw a pair of bluebirds outside our window, yes, in the snow. (At least I am fairly certain they were bluebirds and not some other bird frozen ice-blue

Maybe it's the same pair we had a couple of years ago. Mid January, and there's a pair of bluebirds huddled into the rosebush. Then again, I saw something blue flying away the other day, although all I saw was the back (I do know it wasn't a jay).

I just happened to be scanning last year's posting and I saw Feb 17. 2009--Bluebirds are back".

So apparently this is their normal time to pass by our house.
