Least Favorite Icons #4 - the blending of the texture and image is a bit sloppy on the top of his head so that his head appears blurred. also the tiny text distracts from the quality of the icon. It may have been best to leave the negative space above him so to balance the image out a bit more since such a strong texture was used. #7 - the brightness & contrast seems a bit off balanced. the light the appears on the left side of the image is distracting, it may have looked better if the crop of the image was done a smidgen to the left.
Favorite Icon #6 - the crop is eye grabbing & the icon has a good balance of brightness & contrast.
Least Favorite Icons #2 - A little too dark, could use more light and contrast. #4 - Nice crop but the icon is a little blurry and it looks like it was intentionally blurred around the top of Cogsworth's head.
Least Favorite Icons 6 - The close crop and perfect centering makes it hard to tell who is in the icon and also make the icon very busy. Either a crop farther away or to one side of the icon would've provided more clarity. 7 - The contrast of colors on the face is too intense and makes him look like he has some kind of disease. The coloring of the ear makes it look alienish. The edges on the right side are pixelated and harsh.
Favorite Icon 8 - The simplicity of the icon is stunning. The side crop works really well for the subject and this icon is really striking.
Least Favorite Icons 05 - The icon looks washed out, like it needs a little soft light layer or some contrast to keep everything from being so gray. There's not enough black and white visible so the gray is a little excessive. 02 - Needs contrast! The grunge filter on the corner just makes everything too dark and there's no white to balance out all the black. It also looks a little blurry.
Favorite Icon 03 - I really like the concept of this icon. It's a simple center crop but the black background really makes the cup stand out. And you've used a lot of grays instead of whites which really helps the eyes out with that much black (whites would be blinding while grays are softer and less painful.) It's a good choice of words, too. It makes it sound like a coffee commercial. :D
Least Favorite Icons ##02 - the cropping doesn't really provide an interesting focus point, perhaps a closer crop on him touching his lips would've been better. The texture used also looks out of place as it darkens the icon & offcenters the image ##01 - the thin line at the top looks like a cropping error, the background is too busy for such a white cup, perhaps blending it out would've been better. Over all the icon is also very sharp, this is apparent on the edges of the subject.
