thank you so much!! i really appreciate it!!! sorry that i'm late!! i did install the program!! it worked!! yay!! okay, bare with me, it's my first time using the program, i've been using paintshop pro for like ever, i used the exact same cap as you since i'm new to the program and all, hope you don't mind, i'm surely going to mess around with the program and this tutorial with different caps and pictures and stuff and see what i get, but for now here's what i got:
that colorings good too! but yeah, just add the hue/saturation layer in there and it adds a bit more coloring! and don't worry, when i first started using photoshop way back when i had no clue where anything was but! in my next icon batch, if there's any coloring you like just let me know and i'll do up some tutorials and explain where every tool is that i use (maybe with screencaps? lol it's easy that way) just because i know how hard it can be to not know where anything is! hehe and this tutorial, this coloring, works pretty good on supernatural caps and someone used it on 'lost' caps so it works on those too. and probably any relatively dark cap maybe.
thanks! yeah it does add, true. hee. man i feel like i'm new to icon making again, lol! and i've been making icons for years. funny. but thank you so much!! you've been a great help! i really appreciate it! and i will take a look at your next batch and ask for a tut, lol! i'm pretty sure i'll like your coloring, you make some pretty neat stuff! yeah it works with most caps, it's a very nice tutorial you made, thanks again!! :)
*rofl* i skipped a step, that's why it's a bit less colored than yours, i didn't do the whole "Create a hue/saturation layer (layer> adjustment layer> hue/saturation) up the saturation by 20." that's why it's different! :)
very well could be the screencap you're using. however, i did make up two different .psd's using the picture you provided. i got them a bit lighter then you were able to. the main thing is if its too dark, you can always try duplicating the base and setting it to screen a few times more then what you already have. or you can use a curve layer with these settings: rgb> input: 32 output: 82
Can you help us ?!
