[Paprika will find herself amidst a crowd of people. A Colosseum. It was a very lively atmosphere of people that lived in the city of Zaphias. They were here to see a competition of various fighters that the Empire was hosting. Eventhough it was open to all, it was more like the Empire's way of showing off what their knights could do.

Alexei was down there right now, fighting against just another regular person like him. If he won this, he could challenge some of the Empire's best knights. He was young, in his late teens in this dream. He was equipped with at least the bare minimum required for this tournament, whatever the Empire would supply. He was not exactly the most fortunate person during his early years, but that didn't seem to cause him problems in this battle. He seem to have a good handle of the situation.]

[When the knight is defeated Paprika gives a quick round of applause for him, until the final challenger steps out. He's certainly daunting.]

So, what kind of reward does the winner get?

Money, fame, what you'd expect from this kind of competition.

[And the captain makes the first move. Lex was on the defensive and it stays like that for a while. Perhaps it was just nerves or he just couldn't think of how to approach his opponent. Suddenly the captain catches him off guard by sending a shockwave towards him, an arte known as Demon Fang. He sidesteps out of its way and into his opponent's Sonic Thrust attack. He looses one of his swords from the attack, but at least he comes out uninjured. Artes...only the few privileged to have a bohdi blastia can do something like that.]

I've never really saw a competition like this before, so excuse me for not getting the full picture.

[She says with a light smirk, as she watches the scene unravel. It's certainly getting intense. And those special attacks.]

Can you...or 'he' do something like what the large guy did?

No. He lacked the equipment to pull something like that off.

[The Captain simply chuckles, amused by this battle. Lex just frowns. He's just getting to him with these attacks, he just needs to focus. The Captain comes at him again, tries to deter him with another artes attack that involved swinging his blade in an uppercut like motion. Lex sidesteps out of the way. There seems to be a few seconds delay after each arte he does. Perhaps he could use that to his advantage.

The Captain turns and strikes Alexei normally, but suddenly rams into him. The crowd made mixture of cheers and boos. Of course that seriously hurt, considering it was armor that smacked him. He had hit his left shoulder, but he was okay, he could still fight...it just hurt to move his left side.]

[Paprika makes a pained hiss when she sees the Captain ramming into the kid.]

Ouch, that must have hurt.

[Alexei says nothing. Lex remain standing against the Captain.]

"You've done an admirable job, kid, getting as far as you have. We could use someone with your attitude in the knights."

[The captain prepares his weapon]

"It's a real shame though, that you don't have that kind of privilege." [Lex just glares at the Captain. The speech meant to taunt him, only gave him back his motivation. Yes that's right, he was here to prove a point, to prove that lineage isn't everything.]

Heh...hehe, well then. [He takes a few steps back.] I'll just have to earn that right. Just as it should be!

[Lex sends his sword flyinh at the Captain, while he grabs the second blade that had been dropped earlier and charges in. The Captain was taken aback by sudden attack, getting out of the swords way. Lex soon came following behind it and their swords were soon deadlocked

[Paprika doesn't yell out, but she does give him a brief round of applause herself.]

Ah, that was a really good show.

[The victory was short-lived, soldiers appeared to apprehend Lex. From the audience perspective though, it simply looked like he was being escorted.]

It's not over yet. [He stands and starts moving to exit the arena. He's going to be following his younger self as he was leaving the arena as well.

Lex was being escorted down a hall, to a room decorated accordingly for someone of great importance. Someone garbed in royalty was waiting for him in that room, along with another Knight, but this Knight was different. He was the current Commandant during this time.]

[Paprika makes a questioning 'hm' sound and follows him out of the arena.]

So what's going on? Going to get a medal or something?

[He grins.]

Something even grander than that.

[The Commandant approaches Lex, and utters something to him. Whatever it was, Lex was taken aback by the news.]

Oh that day, I joined the Knights. It was an honor considering only nobility had that privilege.

So...no medal?

[She makes a small snerk at her own remark (yeah she laughs at her own jokes!!) and sighs lightly.]

Well, good for you! Bet you're proud of yourself for that.

Yes...I was about to create a revolution.

[The dream was beginning to fade. Images were flashing here and there as Alexei thought them out but there was nothing really distinguishable.]

I'll have to pay better attention next time and keep a look out for your warnings.

[She tilts her head to the side a little and grins.]

Even if I warn you, it's not like you can really stop me. Unless you don't want me to be here at all.

Well, if I didn't I would have mentioned that sooner. Tonight is the exception as this has been a most...intriguing encounter.
