There's no trend in the disappearances or the circumstances regarding when people leave. Sometimes they know enough to put a notice on the network, but none of the ones I've found have anything about how they did manage to get back.

The highest level of returns seems to be right before new arrivals come in. General opinion seems to be that the barrier's weakest at that time, although I couldn't locate it to test that theory before the stream of newcomers stopped.

There doesn't seem to be a history of people petitioning the deities for escape, but it looks like a more viable option than locating the barrier.

ooc -> sweet! then i have an idea! uhh there is a series i read that has something called safframate. it's basically crushed seeds of a certain flower. too much of it causes the person who takes it extreme pain intermingled with extreme pleasure. as in pain turns into pleasure, which then turns to pain & then pleasure again- around & around it goes, where it stops NOBODY KNOWS. in the end it leaves a person begging for release, but the concoction also prevents that from happening until the effects wear off. so, with the flowers found in xanadu, byakuran will make something similar. hopefully, that is okay with you. if not i can come up with something else♥
