Alright look. For those with no sense of satire, that last pic was a fucking joke. Im not some sellout ex-edge kid. Im not some "hate edge." That picture was funny in the context in which it was taken, and intended for those who understand it. But seriously. I get it. Everyone is "poison free for life," and believe it or not, I respect that.

I will say, however, that the constant focus on straight edge by people who are not or are no longer straight edge does become tiring. I have pretty thick skin---mostly because I'm an adult with priorities other and scene drama---but it doesn't take long for the irony to wear off and the jokes just stop being funny. I know the cool thing right now (well, always) is for everyone to act like they're still in high school, but please understand that it bores the shit out of me to see grown men (and women) acting like little kids---be that by drinking, doing drugs, or making jokes about people who have chosen different lifestyles than their own.

This, of course, is not directed toward you in any way. You could make just about any joke you wanted to and I would still laugh my ass off. We're tight like that. Other people, not so much...

Double Word. Honestly, I feel the same way. (*Unless of course you are referring to me and my occasional beer!) If there is something that straightedge taught me (not that claiming was ever really for me), was that just because I was young, didnt mean I dont have consequences and doesnt give me the license to let any of this shit rule me. I understood that there is a difference b/t drinking and being drunk/a drunkard, and this understanding taught me to stay away from it altogether.
