I would like to state for the record that I am unshamedly and unapologetically christian, but I AM ashamed of most christians that I run across. For you history buffs, remember when the teachings of Jesus were a MOVEMENT? A REVOLUTION? Not a BUILDING or a DOGMA. Oh wait, its still like that in many places of the world. There are statistically more martyrs of the christian faith today than there has been over the last 2000 years. But here in the good ol US of A, most christians are too busy wading in the pool of self righteous cow shit to actually demonstrate any true love or compassion for anyone.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks along these lines. I'd be willing to risk saying that I can't stand the attitude of 90% or so of Christians. I don't know where love and acceptance for others has gone to, but it has all but completely left the church, unfortunately. :-/

Fortunately for me, I take a rather libertarian stance on christianity. IE this is about me and God, and the rest of them can take a long walk off a short pier as far as Im concerned.

I got 95% Anarchist...weird. Brent, you're one of the very few "Christians" I've met that hasn't irritated me in one way or another. You're also the only one to present a remotely feasible argument for the existence of god.

If I can return some validity to the theistic worldview, then count my life as having served its purpose. Unfortunately most people assume too much about you if you take any sort of "conservative" stance on anything. They assume tradition's influence or lack of logic. I live to reverse this. My life is an attempt to follow the teachings of Jesus, not the traditions of those who whored him out.

I agree and I feel the same way. Another thing that annoys me a little about the US is that seperation of Church and state seems to focus on christianity more then any other religion...when did we become free of God? It's not right and that is not what this country is about. Still I can't stand the self righteous people who can sit and judge everyone else but not be able to see their own faults in the mirror.
