[RL] virus: stuck to tavros

May 15, 2011 22:12

Okaaay, something really weird was up. Akito had fallen asleep safely on the side of Ikki's bed, curled up beside him and watching him while he passed out, and now nothing was comfortable at all. It was like he was lying on the ground or something. All his muscles hurt from doing a lot of A-T and then sleeping on something not-so-comfy, and from ( Read more... )

Since entering the Medium, Tavros' sleep schedule had been rather inconsistent, as the sun in LOMAT (and even in his own world, where it seemed perpetually sunny) didn't appear to have the affect that the Alternian sun had on him. As such, he found himself sleeping whenever he could, which happened to be whenever Vriska felt like taking a break from treasure hunting. It turned out one of those breaks was a few hours ago, and Tavros was content to sleep in his rocket chair, because he had Prospit to look forward to. In fact, his dream self was in the middle of getting some mad sky-frolicking on when he felt a tug on his arm.

It took a few times, but he eventually woke to find his wrist being pulled down by the weight of something on the other end of... something that was bound to his wrist? Blinking, he looked over the side of his chair just in time to see a figure stirring. A very pink figure. A very pink and very possibly human figure, who was now mumbling something about bulls and being kidnapped ( ... )

"Oouuuuch." he mumbled, wincing as he pushed himself up to a sitting position, and then got his feet under him, standing up slowly and blinking around thoughtfully. He was outside, he thought, and the definitely-not-human person he was talking to was sitting in a chair that was floating. Akito gulped, eyes widening as he looked at the creature-thing rubbing at his eyes and looking just as confused and slightly alarmed as he was.

"I'm not. Are you holding on to...oh."

Akito had lifted his hand and peered at his wrist, or rather, where the sleeve of the orange straitjacket Kaito put him in drooped down and a small chain dangled, connected to a leather cuff on the other person's wrist.

"Um. Is this one of those virus things I was told about?" he asked, blinking a bit. Then it hit him that this person's speech pattern was familiar, "Have we talked before?"

With the sleep out of his eyes, Tavros' vision quickly adjusted to the dark and allowed him to get a better look at what was definitely a human. (A human wearing a funny, orange coat of some sort, he noted, which, wow, looked really uncomfortable.) His gaze traveled to the human's face, which sported an eyepatch that looked familiar, and come to think of it, maybe he'd heard that voice before...

And then it clicked.

"--Oh, wait! Are you, uh, Akito, maybe?"

He lifted a hand and rubbed at his cheek, laughing nervously, "Oh, yeah, I'm Akito. Erm."

He couldn't quite place who this person was, he'd talked to a lot of people over the past while, but it was definitely familiar. Alien, alien...

"OH! Tavros, right? Wow, your horns are really cool. Are they actually attached?" he said, suddenly catching on and lifting one hand, still covered by the straitjacket. He paused, looking at it and then making another nervous laugh. Pushing his hands together, he started trying to tug the sleeves down without jerking Tavros' hand around, but it was pretty awkward even without a cuff, so he didn't have much luck.

After a moment, he huffed a bit, "Mmph. I wanted to touch."
