Fitness Challenge anyone? If so... go out and run a mile for time. If you're gutsy. Post your time. If you're really gutsy post your best time from the past for comparison!
I know zophine and I will be slower than your time, cyveiliog. Might be good to get something going for a fitness challenge about a certain level of effort or improvement compared to previous best, but probably better related to current abilities, for better or for worse.
With that being said, I know my quarter mile time has been improving and I am within seconds of my best time that I had recorded from high school track days and think I will beat that probably before the end of the year or sooner. Hard to tell if it tracks exactly to some degree if I am essentially running 4 100 meters back to back vs. running on an oval track, but I figure I'll try it on the track again one of these days just to check. I'm very pleased with my current progress through Crossfit and healthier eating lately.
