Labor Day BBQ and the Hurricane Relief Effort

Hey - just a reminder -- BBQ at Suzy's 7 PM Tonight -- brats and burgers and s'mores provided, bring your own booze.

ALSO!!! We will be collecting items thanks to Jessi B. for the Hurricane Relief Effort ... they really need cases of water, diapers and formula ... but anything will help.

Hey, do you know if this is stuff that being shipped free of charge or if it's being sent on a truck that's already headed there? If someone is paying for shipping, it may be better just to donate cash. Also, just to remind folks, cash is always better than stuff. Ie, if you have water, diapers, and formula sitting around not getting used then by all means send them, but otherwise it's usually better to send cash and let folks buy stuff nearby that doesn't need to be shipped.

Last I heard, there are a couple of trucks in Edina being filled with in-kind donations, but I'll totally bring stuff tonight if it wouldn't cost extra to ship it.
