The guy hadn't even read my resume, let alone any intrest in my being there. I felt like saying a couple of things to him through the interview just to spark him up.. He kept looking past ( Read more... )

I applied for a job as a manager at a bookshop...

I'm fine... but a couple of friends lost thier house..

It hasn't been good here.. but you know what people are like. Victorians are really rallying as well as the rest of Australia..

*HUGS* how's the no smoking going?

Take care..

Good - still not smoking. I'm just hoping i don't feel like this forever.

It's like facing the fact you will never have a hug again. I miss my joints lots.

*snugs* Ya, i've been following those fires with Tzup.. man :/ He was pointing out Marysville was pretty much decimated and obviously lots of other places too. Stay safe, and best wishes in your job hunt.

*huggles* right back... I for the most part am fine. I live in the suburban heartland. Most of the state has copped fires in some format, and there has been a shocking death toll. It will climb over 200. The state has lost some amazing places, people and animals, but there is a spirit in the rural areas that enables people to bounce back and the city people are throwing so much support at them that is shouldn't take to long to get things 'back to normal'. Sadly the scars will be around both physical and mental for many years.

yeah. we've had fires here on some of our mountains, and those fires have completely burnt away the vegitation. it looks very bad for years to come.

the good news here is that they are trying to conserve the plants and the animals, so usually, they can reseed what's been destroyed. but i think it's going to become an ever greater problem as we go along, sadly.

again - i hope you stayed safe and that you're still looking for other places to work. you'll find something, it'll just take time.
