Best Buy had one at a really good price this morning, so I sent the link to Jeremy to ask him about the netbook itself. He didn't respond for several hours and it was long past sold out by then. If I find a good deal on one, I'll let you know.
If you go with a netbook, Jeremy recommends a MSI Wind series or Asus EEE series, which I've also read today. If it's going to be your only computer though, I'd recommend going with a laptop. After using mom's netbook I think it'll work for what I want out of it, but it would drive me crazy if I didn't have a desktop too.
I think we're going for the same thing. I decided to go ahead and keep the desktop, so I'll primarily be using it for internet and videos/music on the go. As much as I want one I don't need it, so I'll only get one if it's really inexpensive. Thanks for sharing any deals you find.
