Verity waved at the young witch and her mother as they headed out of the shop, two large WWW bags in their grasp. The store was now vacant, for which Verity was thankful. It had been a chaotic day, full of curious passer-bys and eager children dragging their parents into the store as they shipped for school supplies. She was a bit exhausted and her hair was in disarray, but luckily in fifteen minutes she could lock the doors and close up shop for the night.
Charming the broom to begin sweeping, Verity reached underneath the counter for a rag, grimacing when she heard the front door bell jingle loudly. Flustered, she stood quickly, blowing the strand of blonde hair from her face. She was about to welcome him cheerily but paused when she saw the ginger hair. Maybe he was a Weasley, but not one she had ever met. The man looked a bit cautious, standing in front of the door as if something were going to jump out and bite him at any moment, his eyes sweeping along the shop behind his glasses.
"Can I help you?" she asked finally, clutching the rag in one hand and her wand in the other.
