"Casual attire," Verity mumbled, digging through her closet as she searched for a proper shirt. What did he mean by casual attire? Jeans and a t-shirt? Jeans and a blouse? A dress?
She winced at the thought, glancing briefly at the three dresses in the far back of the closet, and more or less out of reach. She hadn't worn a dress in months, not unless her mother forced her too. She didn't know why she was worrying so much about her clothes. It wasn't like this was a date.
Just like the Quidditch match wasn't a date, she assured herself. Deciding on a pair of trousers and a red blouse, Verity finally finished dressing as the clock announced it was nearly six o'clock. She glanced around her small, one room flat. It wasn't the most glamorous place to live, in fact it was rather small, with dingy tile and small cracks in the wall. Fred had once named the tiny mouse living in the cupboard under her basin Harold and George had, on more than one occasion, predicted her ceiling would fall in on her in the middle of the night. She had made it as cozy as she could, with soft colors, flowers and candles. It certainly wasn't a place a person like Percy Weasley would want to spend more than five minutes in. But it was all she could afford for awhile, at least until she managed to save a bit more thanks to the raise George was giving her.
She began to search for her sandles and fell to her knees to search under her bed. The knock at the door caused her to start and she looked toward the clock to see it was exactly six o'clock. Releasing a slow breath, she stood and opened the door to see Percy standing in front of her, gazing about the narrow, gray hallway before he turned toward her.
"Well, you're punctual," she said with a smile. "Come in. I just have to find my shoes."
