Charlie's skin color was still fluctuating from olive green to pale gray when the Healer finally agreed to release him from St Mungo, after more than twenty-four hours of detention. The treatment for his snake bite had not, to say the least, been smooth, but at least he had his health certificate now, and he could send it to the Ministry and start working soon.
He looked at the time and silently cursed - he was already more than one hour late for his meeting with George - a good thing that it was not Percy he had planned on meeting, or he would probably already have a whole squad of Aurors looking for him everywhere in the wizarding world.
Taking a deep breath, Charlie waved his wand and Apparated at George's door without any incident. He knocked on the door and waited, resting his right hand on his bandaged left arm and wincing.
"George, it's me mate. Sorry I'm late."
