Molly paced by the fireplace and checked her clock again. She'd woken up at two am and felt like something was horribly wrong. She'd headed downstairs to make herself a cup of hot cocoa and she'd noticed on the clock that Ron's hand was showing work.
Ronnie had always been the most considerate of her boys after Percy, of course, but this was simply unacceptable. She wouldn't have her youngest son staying out until all hours of the night. What kind of example did that set for Ginny?
When the clock struck two-thirty am she felt her anger near boiling point. He could have owled or at least let her know that he was going to be out so late. Molly stared at the clock, willing it to change, and suddenly she heard the backdoor open. There was a muffled curse and the sound of something falling to the floor and shattering.
