Narcissa,
So sorry to hear that you were ill. Your bastard of a husband so kindly forgot to mention it to me. I hope you aren't too thin. Merlin knows you can't spare any weight.
Eastcombe has been wonderful. I have a magical neighbor on one side and a Muggle on the other. The Muggle is an elderly lady who makes excellent scones and she comes over for tea every Wednesday. Her name is Anne Whipple and she absolutely adores Teddy. I have to put a spell on his hair every time she comes over and when we go into town. It's not that big of a deal, but it does save me a lot of explaining. Anne is also watches him for me on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays when I'm at work in town. I tried to get a live-in nanny was unsuccessful. Anne is truly a God-send.
My other neighbors are Silas and Magdalena Postelwaite. Thier daughter was Featherline--she went to school with us. Remember her? She had blonde hair all the way down to her bum and was really out there, almost like Halo Lovegood. She's living in Germany now. Anyway, they are lovely as well. They have several parakeets and they've given one to Teddy. He's taken to changing his nose into a parakeet beak. I think he's going to be more to handle than Dora ever was.
Oh, I mentioned that I work a few days a week and you're probably wondering where I work. There's a small medical clinic in the village and I work there as a receptionist for the doctor. I share the job with another woman, who has two children. She's about thirty. I really enjoy it. The doctor is amazed at the speed of my typing--I charm the computer so I get things done in about half the time. But don't worry, it's only when he's not looking. Oh. A computer is a Muggle machine that can do a lot of things like type, do maths, run different programs to do everything from manage a bank account to sending mail clear across the world. It's fascinating. I'm thinking of getting one, actually.
Well, Teddy just started fussing. He's getting so big, Cissy. You wouldn't recognize him!
Think about visiting over the holidays, okay?
