Of a Moment

I love the way the world looks when the sky right above is black and stormy, but the sun is low enough on a still-blue horizon that it streams in underneath the storm-cap. Evergreens are especially pretty in this light. It makes me really happy, for some reason.

I walked out of Panera today and the sky was dark gray, but the sun was shining off to one side and there was a huge rainbow over Kingstowne. It was awesome.

Ah, my favorite is when the sun is out and bright and there are huge fluffy white clouds that block it...but it's just windy enough that they roll back fast and you can see the sunlight dance across the road.
