So I'm driving home from class, and who do I see, dressed in casual clothing, waiting at the intersection to cross the street? Wes "Warmdaddy" Anderson. This would be quite unusual, if it wasn't for the fact that Wes is currently an artist-in-residence here at MSU, and who is also beginning his second stint of running my Jazz Band rehearsal today ( Read more... )

I didn't even know he was a director until I tried to google Wes and it came up with that guy. He directed some good movies though.

Well, I haven't been keepin' up on my jazz... plenty of other things occupy my time. I'm guessin' he's a hot-shot artist. I hope everything is goin' well for you, sir.

Wes has played lead Alto with Lincoln Center, has played in Wynton's small groups, and has also done well as a featured artist, and he's a big, jolly, black man.

And mostly everything is going well for me currently, and I wish you the same.
