Joshua is 12 years old now, so I've started having... you know.... discussions... with him about... you know. Rather than having one big, knock-down drag-out "Talk", we're doing it in short bursts. Like this one

I know it is a few years away, but I am certainly curious as to how these types of conversations play out with Abi and any other children we have. I'm hoping we can just make it a part of regular conversations rather than a special "talk". It will be difficult to balance the seriousnous and importance of the subject with not making it embarassing or TOO important. Does that make sense?
It is a conversation for one child at a time (because only one is ready for it), so it evnds up being "special" for that reason alone. Also, it is an embarassing topic for him, even if I try to be casual about it.
