Warden Suggestion BoxSince we're all on different schedules, I thought it best to work out standard Policies and Procedures for proper Wardening, expectations for Inmate behaviour, rules & regulations, and consequences for breaking said rules here. This way, we can establish some consistency and fairness ( Read more... )

Uhh, I don't think we can control either of those things.

I believe I have a suggestion that doesn't fall into the category of "Punting the Wardens off of the Barge" or "More Women".

It seems to me that certain inmates are given leave to run amok. Perhaps a jury of their peers - and a panel of wardens - might be a better practice for rule enforcement than locking them in their rooms or taking away their pornography privledges. Allow a jury to decide their guilt and punishment.

If they are found guilty, have them destroyed. Capitol punishment is the greatest deterrent for delinquent behaviour.

As for the wardens...weed out the corrupt officials. I have reason to suspect that "good" and "fair" are not prerequisites for the job of rehabilitating an individual on this godforsaken boat.

Um... while I do think the latter's necessary, I'm not so sure about capitol punishment. We're not here to be executioners.

You're certainly not here to be babysitters, either, I'm quite certain.

Anonymously thinking up reasons why Sam might do things he wants. buywithme September 12 2008, 15:06:36 UTC
I get really bored really easily on the Barge, perhaps we could have some kind of mandatory work program? Where I was from, Prisons would have their inmates learn skills such as carpentry, or making license plates for cars, or even stitching together high quality sports gear and equipment for the discriminating and thrifty buyer!

Also, maybe we should have set meal times? To give life here a little more structure and community and get everyone into one place at the same time to listen to me preach at them and prevent gangs and cliques forming.

Sam's mad at Prefect right now... so it's good he's anonymous! bythe_books September 12 2008, 15:57:52 UTC
I think if we have Inmates do any work, it should be more... useful to the setting than that. What would we do with all that stuff?

Right. And that'd make it easier to stop a fight-- since the Dining Hall seems to be the place for those.

Awww, Prefect's just being enterprising! buywithme September 12 2008, 16:25:47 UTC
Sell it! We could use the sports equipment to set up sports teams! Perhaps a barge wide five a side league!

And YES! If everyone eats at the same time, all the Wardens will be there to watch over all the inmates! The threat will be inbuilt! There's a reason why most Prisons operate the way they do!

Adam and Elle beat Veronica to within an inch of her life. Adam was punished by his warden, Elle has none.

..Will you help me? I want her powers taken away. She won't learn if nothing is done and no one understands that.

And Elle, where's she? Why has there been a violent incident concerning an Inmate that's been running free and nobody's been informed?

This place is a bloody mess

Veronica's fine. I left her with her father, he's been taking care of her.

I don't know where Elle is. Probably in Peter's room. I'm informing you now. You need to put her in level 0 or get rid of her abilities.

And.. don't tell my warden. Please.
