Facts from Peter's "definitive" back story, as told in "Spider-Man: With Great Power."

- Peter was the world's largest, most self-centered dick when he first got his powers. He literally says that the entire wrestling network he works for exists simply because they're riding his coat-tails.

- Peter took a lot of what he had before his powers came in for granted -- he has a loving aunt and uncle, a roof over his head, etc, etc, and he still thinks his life sucks because people like Liz Allen and Flash Thompson don't like him more than they can throw him. He wants to be the big man on campus.

- His first car -- looks to me like an old Chevy model -- was given to him by Uncle Ben. It was a fixer upper, to be sure.

- The exhibit he went to was one where they were experimenting on how to render nuclear materials inert by using electrons to manipulate the rate at which the radioactive material decayed.

- His first wrestling match was against Crusher Hogan for 5,000$. Peter wore red pantyhose on his head to disguise himself, and beat Crusher by giving him a wedgie while hanging off the microphone connected to the ceiling. A sidenote: Here's where he starts to develop his "bully" persona, since this is exactly what Flash does to him earlier in the issue to "put him in his place". He only really goes into the match to try and get money enough to get a new car.

- His first quip ever is: "A word of advice, Crusher: this would be a whole lot easier if you laid off the starchy foods." - After his match, he slides back into his "Parker" personality when he tries to pick up Liz Allen with his new car -- always doubting himself, always seconding guessing if he did the right thing: "I shouldn't have used all my money to buy this car. I should've gotten her roses -- a hundred thousand roses." At this point the "high" of being an unnamed, irresponsible dude with "power" has worn off.

- His first instance of Spider-sense actually "hurting" him happened shortly after this; Flash Thompson arrived at Liz's house and came up from behind Peter, surprising him. - Surprise, surprise: Peter's Spider-sense can help him avoid car accidents and "guide" him as far as what he should do next goes. He still wrecks his Porsche, though. The road was wet and he ran into a tree; it cost him thirty stitches

- His way of "Dealing" with Uncle Ben was to answer his questions with his own questions, and then snap at him. It makes him sick. - At this point in his life, he still considers "Peter Parker" to be a loser.

- Crusher Hogan was Peter's "mentor" and actually not that much of a dick. Woah. Peter's still a dick back to him for no reason, though.

- He works for the EWO circuit, his boss is Monty Caabash, and his first "agent" and Manager is Tiffany Lebeck. Tiffany is the type of woman to "make grown men breathless" and. Well. Peter is attracted to her in the way that most boys are attracted to super-models: look, fantasize, but don't think about touching because she'll never want you to.

- aspdouqw. Peter wants so badly to be treated as an adult that he threatens to break Monty's desk if he isn't called "Spider-man". He's obviously trying to compensate for being a loser in real life, and. Well. He's not quite self-hating himself just yet and like most teenagers he's diverting his anger at himself to everyone else around him -- he literally blames Aunt May and Uncle Ben for his worrying about disappointing them when he sneaks back in after his wrestling match.

- Spider-man is pretty much an overnight sensation. After about...Maybe four to five days of wrestling matches, he's put on the air in front of twenty-million people (which is almost the exact amount he unmasked in front of, I believe.) so that the EWO can pay off their mafia debts.

- Tiffany is the first girl he ever takes up to a skyscrapper.

- After an almost fatal fall, he decides to take the Spider-man thing to the next level and makes his web-shooters in a single night. Instead of using them for good, however, or patenting them, he uses them to spice up his match that night and gives the crowd the show of a lifetime.

- Peter's first kiss is on a rooftop during an attack by a creature the Fantastic Four are taking care of. He doesn't even remember the girl's name.

- aspdouqw. The night Peter lets his uncle's murderer get away is the same night he goes to celebrate his first TV interview with Tiffany at a club called Mayhem; if this story is used in normal continuity, Uncle Ben's murder and the robbery don't happen at the same time and Peter isn't "upset" that he's been shortchanged by Monty -- he's actually on the top of the world and so arrogant and subconsciously afraid to do the right thing that he takes the easy way out. He plays off the guard's anger as jealousy. Wtg Pete.

- I can't believe I forgot to mention this, buuuut! Jameson is basically. Um. NOT A HATE MONGER at the beginning of things? He really only wanted to know more ABOUT Spider-man and where he was coming from, and didn't want to publish stories that weren't true, so. Yeah.

- The first man Peter ever helped to save out of costume died shortly after the fact, his lung pierced by a long piece of metal that neither Ben Grimm or Peter could've removed.

- The first hero Peter ever talked to was Ben Grimm. He doesn't make Peter feel good about what he's just done, and he books it right after.

- The first time Peter ever gets "drunk" is the day after the man dies. He goes to Tiffany to try and feel better about everything -- somehow, someway; it's implied he wanted to have sex with her for a moment --, but ends up passing out after a short talk instead. Tiffany takes the opportunity to take off his mask and find out who he is. She's not very impressed, even if she does call him "My Little Boy."

- JJ makes Spider-man out to be a coward on the news the night of the attack, so the Mob tells Peter that he has to become a hero to save his reputation; Tiffany is, obviously against this, but. Well. There's only so much a person can do before they get the crap beaten out of them.

- Peter's first acts of "heroism" are based on tips Tiffany gets from a mob informant named Angel. Every time he does good, he feels like a phoney; at this point, the "high" of being Spider-man is starting to wane and JJ is really taking the piss out of everything he does by pushing for the truth.

- The first woman he ever willingly unmasks in front of is Tiffany. Though it helps that she's drunk, I think.

- The first prank Peter ever pulled on Jameson was to change his the headline he was writing from: "Spider-man deserves to be in jail for his crimes!" to "Spider-man deserves a parade for his deeds!" After this, he decides to hang up the costume for the first time and start being a kid again.

- Uncle Ben dies the same night Peter comes home and tries to make amends for all of his eccentric behavior.
