Quiet week, isn't it?

[Saya will never be the first to say no curses but she's thinking it]

I remember something, from long ago. An invasion. Around this time of year. I remember locking the Warehouse.

It was a long time ago, but I was only twenty-six.

I'm sorry the warm weather didn't last longer.

[That's how one uses I'm sorry, right?]

I don't remember. Something bad.

That sort of thing does seem to happen here, from time to time.

[He's wondering about the quiet week, too.]

It wasn't so quiet, then.

So is this the official countdown to apocalyptic disaster?

I don't know if I believe in apocalypse.

[Too many werewolves bitching about it in her ear]

Even during a quiet week like this? What's the best thing you think we can hope for, then. Wide-spread plague?

Oh, hopefully something a bit more inventive.

Can we talk about inventions?

Yeah. [ He hasn't been around that long, but something feels off. ]

An invasion, huh?

Yes. I don't remember of what. Something loud.

Something that can't get through locks, apparently.

Oh, when the warehouse is locked down, it's much more than just locks.

So am I, actually. Though I can never decide which I prefer, long term.

You're so charming bundled up in wool, Mr. Eames.

Thank you, Miss Saya. That's certainly a new compliment for me.

I like to be surprising.

I'm sorry I've been so inattentive since your return.

Only twenty-six?

[No, she doesn't fixate on people's ages at all.]

[Saya is sitting over her desk, a motor in her lap.]

I was, four years ago. But I'm twenty-seven, now.

That's a strange memory to have.

[But Carla has some strange memories of her own, and she accepts it.]

It's from when I lived here the first time. As opposed to now.
